Group Work and Facilitation
Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion.

The practice of connecting in community and within group spaces is an integral part of our healing, and central to my work. Decolonizing mental health requires us to decenter individualism in wellness culture, and realize the importance of collective spaces in the constellation of resources that support us.
I facilitate trainings, dialogue, and community building around issues of social, racial, and economic justice, healing for liberation, decolonizing mental health and wellness, sex, relationships and intimacy, circle keeping, generative conflict and the practice of Liberation Health principles in action.
I have also run peer-to-peer mental health support groups with adults, children, and families in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, partial and in-patient hospitals, and community centers. I work both in person and remotely. Since the pandemic, I have worked creatively and with intention to ensure that we make the most of virtual spaces, building on their strengths while acknowledging their limitations. I prioritize language justice and accessibility needs in all spaces.
I am grateful to have facilitated diverse groups, movement workers, educators, community leaders, union workers, across the country through my consulting work with non-profit organizations, facilitating Training of Trainers groups across the country, including at The Highlander Center in Tennessee and the Boston Center for Contemplative Practice, and consulting for the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
